An article by attorney at law Jan Matusiak on the move from PKD 2007 to PKD 2025, addressed to entrepreneurs, has been published on the portal of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), as part of the Centre for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises project.
The text focuses on six issues: the most important differences between the classifications, how to verify and adjust the codes, what automatic reclassification will involve, what risks it carries, whether a PKD code determines access to support, tax preferences and permits, and whether it must correspond exactly to the activity actually carried out.
The transitional period ends on 31 December 2026. Until that day the code can be changed independently. After that day automatic reclassification will take place, with all the consequences that accompany the process.
